What type of nut is best for holding the positive lead on the alternator?

I do not know if the type matters, but using spring washers will help. I am sure someone will be along with some answers.

Cheers guys, I’ll get some flange nuts. Wasn’t too convinced a nyloc would be a good choice when I was at it

Flanged nut usually, possibly serrated to help it stay tight.
Rummaging around the garage I found two flange nuts (serrated) but they’re zinc plated - can’t see tho being an issue can you? Or would self colour be a slightly better option
