alloys and insurance

ok as im just comin up be being 17 ive been sortin out the mk 1 clio i bough but wiv the steel rims that must be 13s? it looks crap so i want to either lower it all round by 35mm and stick some larger steel rims or just get some alloys now which would put the most on the insurance lowering or sticking alloys on?? also is it possible to get wider steel rims?? prob a stupid question.... thanks...

insurers usually charge around £200 extra on your premium for alloys. When youre young theyll rape you for every penny they can.

yeh u can get wider steel rims off another renault but problem is u still have to declare it really. if u lower it and alloy it, i would definately declare it!!
