Air con stop leak cans

  Audi A3 TDI 170 B.E.
Anyone used these?

If so they any good cars got a joint leaking and new pipe is £200 from renault and 5-10 days wait as coming from France only.
Then a quoted 6 hour job to replace.

Car only lasted 5 days after a regas, that wasn't picked up?

I wouldn't be putting anything other than the required gas and oil in an air con system.

You'll be spending more than that on a new compressor when the gunk f**ks it mate.

You used it before?

But not going to spend £500 on getting it repaired in the first place, this is one of 2 options the next is to try and reveal the joint, if it come apart and looks corroded.

No, but I am air con trained and wouldn't advise you to do either of those things. Either new pipe or second hand pipe with new seals as Raz has said.

Getting second hand pipe could be an option but then 6 hours labour to replace it.

Think ill try to fit o' ring and clean joint.

If this don't work she'll have to drive with windows down or buy a little fan to sit on the dash.

Fit the pipe yourself and then take it somewhere to get a regas? Or take it to a specialist on here?

On the Audi if its that, bumper off and it's easy from that onwards.
Just have to get it regassed.

DNt de gas your car into the open air, you'll get fined heavy if caught

On a megane scenic, pipe runs from condenser around sub frame upto bulkhead. Renault quote 6 hrs to do the job, as so much has to be remove as its a metal pipe.

No gas in the system now all leaked out!
