Advise on roll cage

  Clio 172 PH2
I'm looking at buying a ph2 172 and its going to be used to drive to the track and be used on the track.

Its predominantly for me and my father to have a bit of fun so not serious track driving (I cant see us spending all day at a track car), however i plan some minor performance mods along with good tyres, pads, ducts, tuition etc. I've done a couple of airfield days in the past and i have a helmet my father doesn't.

My question is, is a roll cage a necessity?

I believe then you need to buy bucket seats and harness etc etc.

Thanks

You dont need anything fkr a normal track day.
Just turn up and drive.
Obvs you want decent tyres and brakes but all the other things are just personal choice.

Me personally, would go the whole hog because it makes me feel safer so i feel i can push on more.
I would have seats before cage though.
