ABS Problems

Can someone help me out, the abs light is always on in my clio mk2 so I took it to a garage so they could do a diagnostics on it, they said there was a problem with the pump and it needed to be replaced and they said if I was to buy one myself I would have to make sure the part numbers match so I was just wondering how you find out the part number?

It is very rare the pump goes.

Diagnostics is only as good as the person using it. It's very common for people to say "oh it's the pump" just because it shows a fault.

What would u suggest? I've ordered a new pump anyway the mot expires In feb

Abs sensor more than likely. Between 40-60 quid iirc?

How can I tell if one of them is broke?
