I was braking hard and there was a drain that had sunk and I hit it; the peddle came up and felt very strange. A few miles further down the road a brake fault warning came up on the HUD and the ABS light came on. I pulled over, had a look around, pushed the pedal a few times and happy with the pressure I proceeded and the light turned off. A day or so later the warnings flashed back up, it then cleared up, then came back and now it's on all the time and I have no ABS.
The drain was on the N/S so I took the sensor out and cleaned it on the front and rear but with no such luck. I also swapped the front sensor for a new one I had but this didn't help. I haven't got one to test the rear and no diagnostics to hand at the moment.
Does anyone have some useful suggestions as to what could be a-miss?
