how does everybody do the classic/2nd car insurance thing?

morning all.

I've got a little clio 172 and about to collect a w123 230e saloon. Aiming at 4000 miles in each per year. What/how best to insure them for the daily commute/weekend thing?

Steven we have found insuring cars on separate policies works out cheaper

i have a classic policy with Footman James on our 911 , renewal due on the 1st of June is 185 quid (5k limited miles agreed value 15k)


i have always found policies with the right specialists better for all our cars .

Lancaster insurance handle my MX5 as its a classic. The do it for peanuts its something daft like less than £200, Adrian flux do my other 3 cars on 3 separate policies and they was really good for my renewal. But just shop around and see what ya can find. Happy with them as my 200 is now less than £400 and the 172 track car is £330 benefits of being old like

I have two cars and i have to insure them separate. Tried to get a joint policy but was always too expensive, also sucks that you can only use your claims on one car!

Shop around for car insurance quotes. You might be eligible for a multicar discount or even a low mileage discount. Companies like The Hartford offer some great discounts, so I think you should definitely shop around and see which one suits you best.
