Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and need some help. I have a 1999 1.4 RT Clio fitted with a 1.4 8V Sandero (K7J) engine. The air conditioning pump's bearings were making an irritating noise and is embarrasing so I decided to remove the pump and replace the bearings. After i re-fitted the aircon pump, the car suddenly does not want to start. The battery is new, the timing is correct, cleaned and tested the TDC sensor (with multimeter), tested the fuel injectors, tested fuel pump, tested for spark, checked all fuses and relays. It cranks well but does not start. It backfired 2 or 3 times after the 3567 attempts to start it. Can anyone please advise me what can be the cause?

Nothing out of the ordinary. Rechecked all plugs. Just saw that the sensor at the back of the engine has no plug I assume it is the knock sensor but besides that it was running fine
When I removed the aircon I cranked the engine for about 1 second. Dont know if it can cause a problem.

I suspect the coil is toast as the spark is very weak orange like in colour

Have you missed an earth strap? My car was doing this it had a loose earth.
Yes I did check both of them they seem to be fine. Loosened and tightened them again.
