Renault Clio diesel
We had a problem with the fuel pump on our Clio, and another diesel pump was fitted. From then on, she would start, then immediately would die. Once started again, she would run fine.
However, she has gotten increasingly difficult to start. Now the routine is to switch on to preheat the glow plugs, pop the bonnet, get out of the car, use the priming pump 7-8 times, get back in the car, say a prayer and crank her like hell. Then she splutters and coughs, and eventually catches, at which point you have to force loads of diesel into her to keep her going.
Once she's running, she's driving great, but this can't go on! We're going to need a TRACTOR battery once winter comes. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.
