12k? 24k?

i was quoted £220 for my 24k service... went down to £170 if i provided my own oil. my 12k was £140ish without oil last year so the credit crunch must be causing it to be expensive.

was told every 12k or 12months, it will be for the 12month, cars has done around 9k, so still not sure as to get it done

seb means 1st (12K) or 2ed (24k)service.

for a 1st service thats exspensive for a 2ed its prob ok-ish mabe a little to much

yes it has to be serviced every year or 12/24k what ever is first. both services are the same i think.

so the 36k service: ie: aux belt etc. is that after 3 years or at 36k? whatever comes first?

1st but the car has done around 9000miles

yeah it needs doing as you said it is 12 mths old now. i did mine after about 11 mths on 12k, the second is booked in for monday for me as i've almost hit 24k after 22 mths of ownership.

way too much £££

Its basically only a oil and filter change

indeed, £265 is too much imo. are you in london or something? you'll be doing very well if you get it sub £200 all in imo.

I paid £206 for my first service at 11k+abit and 12 months old. Didn't supply anything of my own, and thought that was alright (I had assumed £200) so didn't mind paying it. Next dealer is 40 miles away and I like the local dealer, the service is very good so again, it's well worth paying for IMO if you actually have a good Renault dealer having read the stories in here.

I had my 12k service last weekend after 11 months of ownership cost £200.13 and I didn't supply any oil or anything...

Shame you're too far for Rentech, that's where I'll be taking mine - nowhere NEAR £265 and a far better service than Renault.

i got another quote from a mechanic i know, was alot cheaper (£165 cheaper) so i will be goin with him lol

12 Month service would be around £227.77 at a main dealer, main components are:

Particle filter
Washer
Oil filter
Oil
+ Obviously consumables and the environmental charge.

Make sure the specialists are doing the service to those specifications if you want to keep your warranty.

so i could lose warranty if i dont get them to do it or use non renault parts??

To maintain your warranty the car needs to be serviced at the correct intervals. Similarly the services need to be done to Renault's specifications using genuine Renault parts although not necessarily by Renault.
Having said that if you electric windows stopped working for example and the car hadn't been serviced then they would probably have to cover that as its not exactly a part that would have been affected by servicing.

I've got mine booked in next week for 24k service with Renault Minute. They have quoted me around £225. Will it be cheaper if I supply my own oil?
