197 engine into a 182

  Ph1 Clio 172
Hello :) I'm wanting to for a 197 engine into my 182 and I was wondering if anyone has done it before and could help me out with a few things? Gearbox hubs/shafts and wireing?

Easiest option is to use the 172 block and a 197 head and inlet I believe.

This topic was in a thread all of a week ago, summarised below:

Not worth it
Boost /ITBs / cams would be a better waste of time and money
Just get a faster car

Surely if prices come down in line with other RS engines it might become worth it??

They don't put out like 190 stock then??

You can spend hundreds of quid on a 182 and barely make 5 more BHP.

I don't want to boost.. If I did I would of by now
I will be looking at itbs on the 197 engine once fitted
So again any advice on fitting the engine would be great

  R5gtt, 182, volvo...
Sounds like a pubtalk engine swap, involves lots of time, lots of money, lots of pub ammo but minimal performance gains per pound..

The megane turbo engine if it fits would pump out standard power, no drama, no tuning mods and 220bhp?

Get some big boy pants on or just buy a 197/200, they cost nothing.
