Hoping this is of help to anyone. Mine's a 07 plate 197 and has recently flashed up 'Electrical Fault' warning message on dash. Confusing thing is, everything working, no limp mode, car running as per normal. Also as per normal, you start to worry if it not broke, it looks like it's gonna be pretty shortly!
Turns out (I remember doing it!),that on one occassion, prior to light showing I set off a trip with the handbrake on!! Therefore, somehow I've overridden the 'Press Brake to Start' and car will start just off the starter button, NO pedals, just starter button.
Just thought it may help someone..........
