197 Cup Chassis Pack

Hi there,

I am probably going to order my 197 in November but was wondering whether any of you know whether Renault are planning on bringing out a cup chassis pack like they did for the 182? The thought of ordering one without it and then for it to come along as an option a few months later deeply worries me!

i think the only thing that has been mentioned so far is the option to buy Recaros in November IIRC, but I think if you buy a 197 now you will only be dissapointed in future due to the options and variants they will do, it will be a long wait though.

When the 182 came out they said that there wasn't going to be a 182 cup but what happened? Along came the cup, then the Trophy.

Think there's a lesson to be learned here.

I was a bit annoyed about that too. Also when they offered the Recaros, I'd have definately gone for them at the time of ordering if they were an option. I'd try and hold out for a bit before ordering.

I think I (personally) would probably wait to see what they do with the Cup, but it's no use waiting too long, as they will still be tweaking the car in 5-6 years time.

Was it not two years before we saw the 172cup then another two for 182's etc....

It will apparently be release in Cup spec (will end up much like the 182 Cup IMO not the 172 Cup style). However thats one year away probably maybe 6 month depends most likly how sales do.
