182 won’t unlock via Fob

Anyone come across this scenario.

To clarify.. it only won’t unlock via fob. (All doors affected)

It locks fine with the fob.
It’s starts fine if you get in manually.
All door solenoids unlock fine via dash lock/unlock button.

I would have thought key fob issue would affect both lock and unlock at the same time. It appears my fob only wants to lock the car every time the button is pressed.

I’d try the ‘disconnecting’ the battery trick and see if that sorts it out

Can you touch both battery terminals together for 30 seconds?

Ive heard this clears codes and resets things etc, im unsure how true this is, and i take no responsibility for any damages or funeral costs.

Seriously mate, a good specialist told me to try this when i had an emissions light on.

Search it up.

Hi Chris, it does sound like a UCH related issue unfortunately
With this issue and only having the one key its maybe time to search for a decent complete 2 key ecu/uch lock set.
Going rate is about £100.
