182 wheel bearing

Just noticed a speed-dependent humming noise coming from the front left of my car when I was driving home tonight. Checked it and there appears to be a little bit of play when you grab hold and shake the wheel.

Will I be damaging anything else if it with a wheel bearing gone? No other way of getting to work tomorrow and I doubt I'll get it into Renault at such short notice.

Shouldn't be much problem it will get worse though and after time damage other bits etc.
Have you checked you wheel nuts and other bolts are all tigth though?

The wheel nuts seem fine, wouldn't know what else to check. Only done 6.5k miles so a bit strange that it should have gone. It's just a complete pain in the arse for me to get it into the garage!
