182 turns over but won't start (even after cleaning TDC)

  MX5 JRSC
Hi,
My 182 has been misfiring a lot lately, especially when cold, and now it won't start at all.
The car turns over fine, and I'm pretty sure I can smell fuel from the exhaust but it won't fire or even hint at firing.
The following lights are on when I try to start it:
  • ABS
  • Stop
  • Serv
  • ESP
The immobiliser light is out.
I've tried the usual "remove TDC sensor and clean it" route so now I'm stumped as to what it could be.
The car has been left standing a lot over the last month.
Any ideas?
Thanks

When my car wasn't starting, I swapped 2 of the relays over under the engine, and I had these exact symptoms.
Worth a try I suppose.

I'm the engine bay fuse box, there are 3 black relays in a line. Swap the middle and right ones over. If this helps, then you have no engine fan and you need a new relay.
