182 cup

just been reading renaults spec on the new 182 cup and it seems they may be under selling its performance...

They state now that the 182 is 7.1secs (same as 172std) 0-62 and afaik it was/should be 6.9 which was the same as the 172cup

Now the 182cup is specced at 6.9secs and Im sure it will be quicker than that as its the same weight (approx) as the 172cup.

what are renault doing???

looks nice though and with the benefit of abs, aircon and tc

well all manufacturers sell short on performance like the furby skoda say 9.6 auto car had many runs at 8.2 and one at 7.2 !!

The 182 Cup is only 20kg lighter than the 182, and not as light as the Cup. If anything, I would say 0.2 seconds is a bit too much of a difference!!

I drove a 182 with Cup pack last week. Same as my 182 with Cup pack only with a nasty steering wheel and seats. Other than that its virtually identical.

Even I managed 6.9 in the 182 when it had only covered 1.5k.

EVO magazine had a 182 cup pack run a 6.6 0-62... pretty quick. but manufacturers do thir test wiv a full tank and a passenger.

They also add a little tollerance on incase your particular car is a little slow.
