182 alternator ?

has anyone had their 182 alternator reconditioned instead of buying a new one..? don't mind if the cars off the road for it to be done as I hardly use it so that bits not a problem..

Yes....

I normally recondition them instead of buying second hand....
The thing you're buying could be the exact samethays being replaced
(IMO)

You can get one from Renault for around £200. Part number is A13Vi300 for the alternator itself.

thanks for the replys ill look into having mine reconditioned first I think as im sure it would be a lot cheaper.. i had one done on my old cossie for 50 quid and that had done over 100k.. not like this crappy Renault one 58k..
i don't think my car likes being parked up for months on end as every time i use it i end up replacing parts..
