Arctic Blue 182
Hi all.
Posted for the first time last night, and thanks again for all your welcomes.
Had the 182 since Monday and gave it its first proper outing today - from Sheffield to Ingomells (Skeggy) and back, to visit some friends on hol. Ive got a week off from work so decided to whack a few miles on.
As the car is still new Im still comparing it to my old Mk1 172. Firstly, and surprisingly, no rattles. Apart from road noise all is quiet in the cockpit. Not yet taken it over 3000rpm or 60mph while running it in but I can feel it eager to go quicker already. Blipped it once or twice just out of curiosity to see what she had in her. The grin factor was there.
A very healthy 44-46mpg was returned running on Optimax so its hardly a gas guzzler.
The handling (with cup pack) is soooo much better. Tighter, more responsive and more importantly.... more alive. Also very comfortable
Cruise control on the A57 and A1 was a delight to have. Never had a car with it before, so decided to have a play, Especially in the 50mph sections of the A1. Climate control also. I felt spoilt. Got to know the car a whole lot more today, and what a fab little thing it is. Clocked 286 miles on now, so still plenty of tootling around to be done.
Im really really pleased with it so far, cant wait til Im able to open it up. I thought my Mk1 was good, but the 182 beats it IMO.
delighted : )
