17x8 Rims for Slick Tires on a 182

I am trying to find out what is the right offset for a 17x8 rims to be used with 205/40/17 Hoosier R6 tyres. These would be track only wheels obviously.

Has anybody installed 17x8 wheels sucessfully without rubbing on stock suspension? if so what offset did they use?

umm..

i have 16x8 with 195-45-16 tyres on my non-sport clio with an offset of et35, but i do have 10mm spacers all round.
