17s on my Mk2 1.4 16v?

Hello everyone. I have a few questions. I currently have 195/50R15s and I know a 205/45R16 will fit since the RS has them stock. I currently have stock springs with 15mm spacers on each wheel. I would like to go with 205/40R17 but I'm not sure which wheel size I should go with, with the least amount of modification. Here in Germany they call it ET (einpresstiefe) but I don't remember what it's called in English (been living here way too long). Thanks in advance.
