172 passenger driveshaft issues

I am currently doing a 172 widetrack conversion on the valver and cam across an issue with the passenger driveshaft.
I actually have two of the same driveshaft. both have the same issue with a bit of rubber, which has cracked or gone even worse.
heres some pictures

Just want to know if i can replace them and where i can get them from. or am i better just leaving them, because i think it would come up at mot time.

Don't think it's a mot issue its just for balance on the shaft if currect. Don't know where you would get new ones from. New shaft I'm guessing.
