I am currently in the process of removing the lower inlet from 172, as I have an RS stamped inlet to have as a replacement. I have got all the bolts out, fuel rail injectors removed etc, but the inlet doesn't want to move..
I have slackened the diagonal support for the alternator bracket (the car is a regular 172 not a Cup if that makes a difference re alternator bracket), but the inlet still feels wedged in place and won't shift.
Has anyone got any advice on what's needed to get the old inlet off, and then the new back in place with the gasket?
