172 is going in for major surgery...

  2007 MK5 VW Golf TDi
She is having her cam belt, Aux belt and water pump replaced - she will be in for 4 days!! Dropping her off on Saturday.

I get the pleasure of a Mitsubishi Colt as a courtesy car!! Any ideas what they are like?

The reason its taking 4 days is because I have dropped it off today - they won't start work until Monday.

Its going into Manor Garage in Chester, Renault Specialists. He said that if water pump and Aux pulleys and tensioners don't need doing, then he won't do them...

Colt isn't too bad, but extremely plasticky inside!! bits of the dashboard kind of glows green in the dark!! Not sure if its the 1.1 or 1.3 its bloody slow whatever!! Can't wait until Tueday night now!!

IMO chnage them regardles of what he thinks. FI they fail its at best nw tensioners which is a oaod of work to strip back down and new AUX belt it worst its a new engine since broken AUX belt takes out the cambelt which wrecks valves.

Just had her back today and I'm very pleased. They have done Cambelt, Aux Belt, Fan Belt, Front discs and pads, CV boot, power steering switch, gear oil change, washed, polished, Hoovered, 2x new air freshners, free bottle of De-icer and a chrome renault keyring! Feels brand new again, lovin it :)

I can totally recommend Manor Garage to anyone in the Chester area - Ask for Paul Sutton, I will never take my car back to the stealers again!!
