172 clutch mechanism

Clutch bite is very low on my 172 engined kangoo approx 25mm off the floor which makes gear selection hard unless clutch pedal is buried into the deck.

Does anybody know how the ratchet mechanism works so can reset it ?? I have tried disconnecting cable at gearbox end - pulling out fully and pressing the pedal down and can hear the ratchet click but on refitting its still the same.

If it's the same as on a Clio then the procedure you did sounds correct.

It looks to have a clio pedal box fitted. New cable possibly needed ??
