1.2 standard clio wings to fit sport bumper.

Well guys today i went to a garage to get a quote on how much they would charge to cut and modify a clio sport bumper to fit a 53plate clio. I mentioned cutting the original bumper and molding it to the clio sport one so it fits the wings, they said to me that theres no point cause if the bumper gets hit it will just fall apart because plastic welding is weak!?
Help, i really want to complete my replica now

tbh, trying to mould it to the 1.2 bumper is more work than just modifying the sport bumper. if your a member theres a guide in the guides section which shows you how to do it, just need to do a bit of sanding and mix a bit of fibreglass. work a treat looking at the photos in the guide.
plus if your actually doing a proper replica, y dont you get hold of the sport wings and sideskirts, would just need painting then

I dont wanna get wings and skirts, only reason cause i had replica skirts fitted a few weeks ago and thats money getting new ones on.
