£700 To Play With

Hi I Have Got A Clio 1.8 16v Need More Power Thinking About Cams And Chip Deal. Had A Price From Ktec They Quoted 750. I Have Done Basics Already Brakes Exhaust And Induction Kit. I Work As A Mechanic For Land Rover So I No My Way Around A Car But Would Like A Specialist To Tune It For Me. Who Would Be The Best People To Do It For Me. Has Anyone Had It Done What Are The Reliability Problems. I Have A Budget Of £800. Thanks Any Feedback Welcome.

First up, get rid off the I/K, they soak up all the heat from the engine bay, get a OE air box with a decent panel filter(ITG) are always good.

De-cat if you don't have one.

If you have £800 I would fit the F7R engine (2.0 from Megane, Williams or spider) then tune that. They have loads more torque, and respond much better to tunning than the 1.8.

Speak to fred@yozzasport, angel works, gdi...........
You will get better work from these guys compared to Ktec.

I charge £350 for a straight swap, that would leave £450 from his £800 budget...if u scout around u can pick up a willy lump for £400 with not too much hassle.
