Dont get the parts from Renault, get them from a local motor factors and have a local garage fit the parts. They wont mind, and it wont cost £800!! I work in a Motor Factors, I'll see what seals I can get hold of on Monday.

That's way too much.

Personally if you have access to ramps/garage I would buy the parts and do it yourself.

Hum the main seal they mean the big one on some internal thingie?

Thsta weel overpriced inless you live maybe in longer where rates are much higer.
To change the clutch on a valver you've got to move the gearbox and engine seperate so you could chnage the seal then so I'd think more like £300 an might as well hvae th clutch chnaged at the same time £50 or so since you have to strip it down again to get to it all.

the renault specialiast that i will be using is charging £450 and i think this includes a new clutch aswell, but not too sure !

edde what you say about the engine and clutch having to be separated is exactly what they said to me !
