Took advantage of the hot, sunny weather... waited for the sun to go down a bit before driving to take a couple of pics...
It looks orange in bright sunshine otherwise. Haha!
No probably not as I love it how it is. If and when the wheels get a little worn, I may look at going gloss black. But they're in perfect condition at present so in no rush.
Between £6k and £7k.
I'll see how I get on. I can have some vinyl/film applied to it but it looks cleaner imo :)
As now established, that was Byron, the previous owner.
These are them...

No more close up pics (yet) I'm afraid.
A very cheap, but effective modification :) I would NEVER normally put something like that on my car, but these were a must. Just simply slipped on and with a little force they're not coming off :)
Indeed :)
Et voila!

Hellooo stranger :) Thanks mate. Yeh... a long but good old five years :) This is an '08 plate, but with 80k miles. However, every 12k miles, it has been to Renault and has NEVER...
I did indeed. Set me back about £50 from my "contact" :)
Hopefully I can use that if they start to look a little worn, but the ones before were never going to come up nice. They needed to go.
Yeh that's the one :) It's good but for some reason, the eejits at Renault have put some kind of block on it so when you connect it to the iPhone, it doesn't flick through the tracks properly (when using the stalk controls). The track isn't displayed on the phone either. Oh well. Sh*t happens...
It's just a small box with three connections within the glove compartment.
And a couple of WOW modifications... silvatec indicator bulbs to the front and rear and extreme white sidelight bulbs :)
Since the time came to part with my Ph2 172 after 5 years and 100k miles, I bought this little "toy" a couple of weeks ago...
It's a Clio 197 Lux. The standard specification is listed here...

I bought my 197 last week. One of the many options is the iPhone connector block that is attached to the side of the glovebox. It has a few connections and one cable connects to the iPhone. When I connect the iPhone to the cable, the songs can be controlled via the stalk, etc... but the songs...
So... what have I or what has the car been doing since June 2011. Well we went to the 'Ring in August...
That was a good trip apart me being my OSF shock... again!!! Haha! And one of my mates wrote off his Evo 8 where I was a passenger...
So this year, we attended Castle Combe in April...
I'm wanting to connect my iPhone to the car and have it play through the speaker, etc... My headunit does not have an AUX connection thing so I suppose I would have to look at getting a replacement headunit. I'd only want something cheap and cheerful but what I was wondering was... if I replace...
Am I right in assuming the standard (Ph2) Clio 172 head unit is not compatible with iPhones as I'm looking at connecting my iPhone to the car and running music through it?

We all met at Guildford, Surrey at 5am and left for Dover soon after. The ferry departed at 8am and arrived at Dunkerque at approx. 10am (so 11am French time). Once all sat-nav's had been set, we headed to the first services as one of the Evo's was already running low on...
I don't have any words yet but will put something together soon. But for starters, here are some videos I have uploaded from the "on-board camera" we rented :)
Damian Hill - Renault Clio Sport 172 - Nurburgring, August 2011 (BTG: 10:06)

I passengered in my mates Evo 7 and we got round Adenauer Forst and then applied some power onto the straight before the back end kicked out, tried to correct it but slid across the tarmac, grass and into the barrier :( Marshalls were called, the car was recovered and my mate was taken to the...
