it wasnt just the bearings i replaced i fitted the complete top mount kit with bearings but they are still knocking so i want the uprated top mounts like ktr do.
Do ast and puresport have a web site??
Hi guys quick question is there only KTR that do the upgraded strut top bearings for the 172/182? or is there someone else out there? :S
As my 172ff has had new strut top bearings and shocks and they still knock there t1ts off going down the road if its not a completely smooth surface.
Thanks in...
I had a similar problem with mine it turned out to be a fried eprom in the ecu so i ended up buying a matching numbers ecu and uch with the keys and swapped the lot.
I had this fault too. Under the passenger headlight renault loop the earth to the ecu relay it breaks in the loop i cut and rejoined mine and runs as good as new ;)
As the title says if anyone is interested I have decided to part with my rare 172 cup so i'll be keeping my 172.
So if anyone is interested i've just listed it on ebay the item number is 281289819540 ;)...
Had this one check the plug in connections to the uch module arnt loose mine did that and it turned out one of the plugs was starting to come adrift from the uch module ;)
Finally got to the bottom of this problem last week after a lot of testing I found a broken wire in the main engine wiring harness between the ignition relay and ecu. In Renaults wisdom they made this wire too long in the loom and looped it back on itself and the break was in the loom so I cut...
The spring clips need pushing further up the pads so the top of the spring is onto the caliper so once you knock the slider in at the bottom of the pads the spring is then under pressure onto the pads
Cheers Fred I presume it'll be one of the little brown ones in the engine bay fuse box?? I've commondeered our lasses 172 cup for tomorrow so im gonna swap the relays one at a time and see if it will fire up.
Yep immobiliser light goes out and stays out whilst cranking so i dont reakon its an immobiliser fault but the abs and service light start flashing when you've been cranking over for a couple of seconds. @Fred tried that one with the relays also checked the fuses in both the car and engine bay...
Right just let me get this straight the crank sensor controls the injectors aswell as the spark? I would have thought that if the crank sensor had gone down i would lose both spark and fuel not just one.
