Why ? The std top mounts are awful. Putting pms top mounts on my other wise std trophy made such an improvement. Plus if you take them of you'll have a load of wholes in your turret

With out proper mapping most modern cars ( especially a 182 where the cat is pretty efficient) will loose power by decating.

Both of my 182s ( firstly was a trophy with a scorpion rs192, second is a cup with a ktec racing exhaust) were slower once decated. I reffited the cat to both but cut the 'bell and cup' joint of and welded a sleeve on to maintain the diameter. Gained 3mpg from both aswell.

Looking at eating some hi spec front breaks, 4 pots, 2 piece discs 300mm I've got 2118 speedlines in 15" and a set of oz f1s ( proper ones not the renault type ) I know 280s go under but has any one tried 300mm breaks under 15s. Cheers

My exact argument earlyer. Focus rs zetec is bullet proof sub 400bhp. Easy to mount aswell.

Ratios are crap in the vag box to. My ibiza cupra had a 02j I think, would do 112 in third ?? St170 box is shared with the Mini Cooper s also. Very cheap to pick up.

The op wants to fit a focus rs gear box to a Clio engine then drop it into a Clio? My point is, why would you go to the trouble of fitting a Clio engine to it, when in my opinion and experiance the zetec turbo that comes fitted to the focus is a better engine to start with and far more capable...

I personally hate the 182 wheels. There rank. Ive ve had a 182 trophy. Now have a 172 ph2 on ph1 wheels. And with a 182 manifold and Decat. Apart from the lack of cruise control I think it's got the best of all the bits

I'd disagree with the above. Mods cost money. Buy on condition. If it's modded to the hill then bonus ( as long as there fitted properly)
