    182 running issues

Hi folks. Having some annoying issues with my 182. Usually starts fine but the past couple times it's taken a bit longer but it has started. Once started it idles OK but very hesitant to take any throttle. Drive off and its spluttery until about half way on temp gauge. Once it hits that it's...

    SLS Knockhill

I was tempted by this if it was still last years regulations. Think the new ones would put me in Class D but not competitively. I'd also need to alter the car further, which I don't want to do as it's a road toy too. Normal hot hatch days for me next year I think

    Wayne's 182 Toy

Got to love these cars and there issues!! Drove a couple mile to the shops last night, no problem. Started car at the shop and it decides it wants to be a 3 cylinder 182!! Quick RSTuner diagnostic and it showed an injector fault. Luckily I could source one local today, half an hour after work...

    Wayne's 182 Toy

Another wee update... Still have a whine from belt side, no definitive answers so looks like I'll have to just start replacing components :( On the plus side.....I have parts on route to fit an open filter for some induction noise......and out the back end I've stuck the RSTuner pops and bangs...

    182 whine

Is there a way to set them? I thought it was just a spring tensioner?

    182 whine

It's more a bearing sort of noise than a PAS pump, steering doesn't affect the noise at all

    182 whine

Hi folks. I have had a read through similar threads but they never seem to mention if it has been fixed. Basically my 182 has a whine from the belt side, noise increase with revs at idle and under load. Alternator is brand new so isn't that. A lot of mentions point towards the aux belt idler...

    Wayne's 182 Toy

Well that's just over 2 weeks into ownership and apart from the alternator issue I'm loving the car. Previous 2 cars were a 300ish bhp Focus ST and an e46 m3 so I was worried I'd be underwhelmed with the Clio but I'm just not :). It's never going to break any speed records but it puts a smile...

    Wayne's 182 Toy

Just part of the joys of cars......bug my happiness when they don't work but find a decent B road and all faith is restored haha!!

    Wayne's 182 Toy

Cheers folks. Testing my patience already lol, lasted 2 days before breaking down. New alternator fitted and it's alive again. Slight whine from the pulley area so looks like it'll be aux belt and cambelt service sooner rather than later!!

    Wayne's 182 Toy

Aye I've been round Knockhill many a time, usually passenger but have taken mates cars out before and love it. Itching to get the Clio down but that will be weather dependant at this time of year

    Wayne's 182 Toy
