Hi guys,
Ive had this intermittent fault for a while now, sometimes when i turn the ignition on nothing happens, all i get is a relay click from under the glovebox but the starter motor doesnt come to life. for a few days it will be fine and then i get a couple of days where it does this every...

Hi guys,
My 1.6 has developed an intermittent missfire.
I was just wondering if there was anyone local to the Chichester area that has a code reader, or any sort of diagnostic equipment i could perhaps borrow, with your assistance for 10 mins to see whats going on?
Already replaced all 4...
They are plastic and glued in place with a plastic pin that pushes into a drilled hole underneath, i tried to take one of mine off to do the same thing and it just snapped off, luckily glued in to place again fine. if you could source new plastic 'screws, rivets, bolts, whatever you want to call...
I've got some for sale, would be suited with uprated shocks though. Pm me if interested and I'll send you a pic of how they sit. I have no need for them now as I changed direction with the car.
little thin screwdriver was what i used on my old phase 1. just wedge it under the clear plastic and pop it off. looks like you had a go at that already though looking at the marks haha.
Well this is what I'm thinking now. It all sounded like induction noise. But now it's gone totally gutless and it sounds like it could be from the manifold to cat joint. It's sounds horrible!! It's kinda odd though as when the cars stationary and I give it some revs it sounds like induction...
I've had an induction kit that I made up myself fitted to my 1.6 16v fitted for around 8 months now. (Positioned the cone behind the headlight much like the ktec kit for the sports) it's been fine since I fitted it at the beginning of the year but last night on the way home it became unbearably...
And me haha,
been running over 3 on the rear of mine for a while now with barely any abnormal tyre wear. quite suprising really. a couple of degrees should sort your issue. just get the shims :)
Could be a good fix for iPhone 5 users that only have a 30 pin connection from they're hu. I ended up buying the £25 adapter from Apple to convert to lightning, rip off!!
Looking to replace all of my mounts as there seems to be alot of play in them now,i know the dogbone mount is a doddle to replace but what about the others? Easy diy job or am i better off not being so tight and chucking it in the garage to get them done? im not bad at home mechanics and have...
Get under the car, wd40 them and scrub the threads with a wire brush, as they are open to the elements they just rust on the underside and lock in place, once cleaned they are a lot easier to remove with a half decent breakers bar.
Awesome pic mate, cheers for that, shame about the smashed foglight, got a new one turning up this week so thats one niggly bit off the checklist.
Will do paul. :)
Nice to put faces to names, I live literally 2 minutes down the road from the motor circuit but often work late on a Saturday so don't have the energy to get up in the morning, will make sure to join in on the next convoy there though. Are you guys attending the portsdown hill meet this month...
Saw a few of you guys here today, in my pb ph2 non sport on bbs reps.
Track prepped ph1 with drilled holes in the rear bumper, said hi as I was leaving.
sunflower ph1 parked close to the above,
Trophy parked in the middle of the car park
