Managed to get one headlight restored with some sheets from halfords but need more and a finer grain to finish the job. Found this site, 50p a pop. All grades and can buy as many or as few or you want. Just got 8x1000, 6x1200, 4x1500, 4x2000 for £13.59...

I dropped him a line, he replaces them with leather. Not sure how he does it, maybe he could make thumbgrips only, seems unlikely though.

Snappy how do you tackle the thumb grips? Is it ok if they've deteriorated a little? Very interested.

There is a guy in this thread does retrimming and apparently has done it for members here via proxy. Works at bentley but no pics of his work. £120 plus postage for full leather retrim. Pretty great value compared to carbon thumb inserts...

Definitely my biggest pet peeve. Agreed Dan, Someone should fill that gap. Wasn't there someone on here once reupholstering steering wheels in leather? Just saw these on flat-eric's car. Would love something like that.
