My broker was less than helpful in the end. I've had to do all of the legwork to get this claim sorted. Only this week have I had the money in my account. If you look at my original post date, you'll see that this is a f**king long time for a simple claim. If fault was disputed or I hadn't...
I think you will find that my query is not yet resolved. I'm waiting for a call from your "complaints" department but will email you some details to forward onto them, as nobody in your call centre would give me an email address or postal address.
Problem is I now have no car until they complete whatever investigation they need to do and then (if written off) give me a cheque. I think this is unacceptable as I pay for fully comp insurance so that in the event of an accident, I get a car. Will be having words today when their 'after claim'...
Can't afford to.
The car needs 4 new tyres, 2 shocks, aux belt, et etc. Had the tyres ordered and booked to be fitted tomorrow but now have to cancel that
I'm with brentacre insurance who use markerstudy as their underwriter
I thought much the same. Some geordie bird on the phone telling me the damage sounds terminal.
Great that I now have at least 2 days sans car. What's the point of having insurance if I'm completely without transport until they can be arsed to assess the damage? If they write it off and take...
I had an accident earlier, completely my fault. Basically pulled out of my work car park, neglected to look right and clipped a passing car. It's torn my front bumper off and done some minor damage to the bonnet. Headlight is scratched. Possibly further damage underneath too but it does still...
I've seen a few threads touching on this but no concrete answers.
195 tyres are a fair bit cheaper than 205... most of the online tyre companies assume that 195 is the correct size for standard 16" wheels on a 182 but the tyres I have currently are 205/45/16 and it seems this may be the...
Went in this morning. They said they call valvoline direct for oil advice and they said there's 5 recommendations for the car, and 3 of them are 5w30. Idiots
At least they are going to change it for free though.
So, 8 days and £430 later I have my car back. Not sure if you can see the image above in detail but they have put the wrong oil in, should be 5w40 not 5w30. I didn't realise until searching here when I got back. Car is going back in tomorrow, bet they'll be happy to see me. Will be seeking a...
Right they have had the car since last Tuesday and I still haven't got it back
They have said that since replacing:
1 injector
Spark plugs (checked and they were the correct NGK ones)
HT Leads
it has now developed into a constant misfire and all 3 other injectors have failed when moved to...
Not been able to look under the car due to weather but it is running like a bag of spanners the majority of the time. Really lumpy idle.
Will see what they say tomorrow. Wish I'd been able to take it to Danny or someone but due to circumstances had to use a local garage :(
Thanks Fred.
I don't think this garage have the renault locking tools so they won't be able to check the timing properly - is that right?
Rough cost on a MAP sensor?
Hi
My 182 is in a garage as it kept giving me the flashing engine light + misfiring etc, especially when idling for any length of time. They tracked this down to a faulty injector, which was replaced with a genuine Renault part today. Apparently this made things slightly better.
Now...
