Did the same thing about a month ago. G172 got me some spacers super quick, I fitted them and no more problems.

So, I had chance to have a look at the problem today. As suspected the spacer was missing, fitted the new ones (thanks again to G 172 for the quick service) and jobs a goodun. Luckily I hadn't driven far without the spacer so there wasn't any damage to the abs ring or the bearing. Whine free...

Do you mean a spacer on top of the spacer that should already be fitted?

Thanks for the help guys. Kicking myself as I only went to ECP because the Renault part dept was shut by the time I got down there today. The discs I brought were Pagid, I thought they were a decent make. Hope I can get the discs back off without knackering the bearing.

Just checked now, nothing on them but the bearing.

I will check again in the morning but I'm sure there was nothing on the old ones.

There wasn't a washer with the discs only the locking nut and dust cap. There was no washer fitted on the old discs either otherwise I would have used them. Do you have to get the washer separately? Can't seem to find anything from ECP where I got the discs.

I changed the rear discs on my 54 182 today, and now there is a metal on metal noise when going round corners. I inspected it after a test run and I sounds like the rear disc Is making contact with the hub (?) at a certain point on the rotation. When I removed the old discs there wasn't any...

Yep, needs both on the battery to work all the time, swapping doesn't work for the IDA-100. Thanks for the help. While i was sorting that out thought i would put in a bluetooth module. Nightmare, there is no room behind the HU at all.

I've recently installed an Alpine IDA-100 HU in my 172, but it only powers on when the engine is running. Anyone know how to get it to work without the engine running? I used the included cable adaptor. Cheers!
