Having just sold my dCi 65 & bought a dCi 86 I have to say the new horn is a joke. My bike horn is more impressive!
Gotta say though, both cars: the good points outweigh the bad points! ;)
Y721JMA Clio dCi 65. Sound engine, 64000 miles at 9 years old, 1 owner as of April 2010 (me) Leaking sunroof seal. Part-exchanged at Wirral Renault & last I heard going to auction.
I bought my 1st Clio brand new back in 2001 - a 1.5dCi Dynamique.
9 years later I was looking to replace it so I spent a week checking out what to buy.
On my list of cars to look at was:
VW Polo
VW Golf
Skoda Fabia
Suzuki Swift
I did concider a Toyota a few months back but recent events have...
Recently noticed my roof is letting in rain water. It drips down from the headlining, just in front of the sun visor & drips onto the driver's seat.
I'm assuming it's getting in from the sunroof.
Is this a common fault?

Thanks for the replies.
On the way home from work this morning it cut out too many times to count! :S
I drove straight to my local Renault dealer & parked up until they opened at 8am & left it with them. I've just had a phone call & they recon it's the TDC sensor.
£175, I can collect...
Oh yea, the car runs fine now but I just want to know what happened when it cut out twice on Friday morning. It's never done that before in the 7 years/50,000 miles I've owned the car.
Thanks for replying.
My Clio cut out on the way home from work on Friday morning.
Felt identical to running out of fuel but I had a full tank. The electrics were fine & the headlights stayed on OK. As soon as the car came to a stop I turned the ignition off & then started it up OK. It ran for another 5 miles or so...
My (nearly) 50,000 mile dci Clio is starting to judder sometimes when pulling away in 1st gear. I assume my clutch plate is on the way out or contaminated.
How much will a dealer sting me for this to be replaced & what's the expected mileage for a clutch when driven by someone with mechanical...
If anyone's looking at this thread in the future I can tell you I needed:
30mm socket to remove the rear hub nut. (torque to 129lb)
Circlip pliers to remove the clip securing the bearing.
Bearing kit - £41.52 (one side)
A trip to my local Renault garage to press out/in the bearing(s) - £16.45...
Yup, got the drum off yesterday & my suspicions were correct - a knackered wheel bearing. Had a go at knocking it out with a few strategically placed blows but decided in the end to get it pressed out!
Thanks for your replies!
Parts - bearing/circlip/dust cap & nut £41.52 btw
My rear wheel bearing (Clio dCi) has given up & I'm about to change it.
I've bought a Renault bearing kit 77 01 205 812 & I see the bearing is 40mm deep. This seems like a lot of surface area to overcome if I was to try & get it out without a press.
Has anyone managed to drive a bearing out...
