Dont get me wrong, I love the Meggy, but I just love my Trophy too much to get rid of it at the moment.
But then as you say it IS a BIG lazy turbo car, Ive also got a Renault 5 GT Turbo and thats certainly not lazy quick, naturally its lazier than the Trophy but still involves quite a high...
On the road between Reading and Camberley at about 7pm today, you were heading Camberley way, but I was too busy watching the idiot behind me in a Golf to give you a flash..
I think i spotted a Trophy, well actually I am sure I spotted a Trophy, just saw the rear side window as it flew past us at the Jolly Farmer in Blacknest this afternoon, its a pub between Bordon in Hampshire and Farnham.
Anyone?
Sadly it didnt bring a bigger smile to my face than my clio does...
The Meggy is a great car, but lazy quick, and i am not yet ready to give up my 'drivers' car..
I was in Hospital in Tonbridge Wells and the Mrs had to drive my Trophy back to the parents in law house which is in Crowborough so could have been mine
Spotted parked up on the corner on the road between Watlington and Reading...
Nice looking Cup, saw it on my way out early afternoon and then again on the way home this evening...
Oh and it was blue...
In Leamington Spa
Parked in an under ground car park... spotted by my passenger so had to go back and have a look...
Mint, just missing the splitter, anyone?
There would have also been Andrew and Neal Martin...
Neals = Racing Blue 182 (lowered with white wheels)
Andy = Trophy (probably on white wheels also, although when I saw then on Sunday Andy had his standard yet facked wheels on there)
My semi mrs drove my Trophy and didnt like it when it got to 5k, she then promptly pulled over and gave me back the keys...
Let her drive my old 172 all the time, and she loved it!
Thats awesome!!
Friend of mine has been building a metro turbo conversion for 10 years, the last I heard he was putting some form of Cosworth Turbo on it, cant wait to see it when its finally finished, but then saying that he HAS been 'nearly finished' for 10 years!! lol
And cambelt not been done? Over a year and a half over due???
When I just had mine done I was so close as one of the pullies had split nearly all the way down.
I wouldnt want to risk buying this as you could put money on the fact that driving it home the cambelt would go!! lol
