    Small damage repair ballpark estimate

Thanks for your advice guys. I don't seem to be in the position to call the shots so it looks like I'll have to transfer the money prior to the work being done. Ho ho ho merry christmas

    Small damage repair ballpark estimate

Surprisingly this has escalated slightly. She’s had another quote off another body shop where they’ve found a small dent so have quoted a further £40 to remove that also so will go with that quote! ..lovely. I told her to go for it, and get the body shop to invoice me/ I’ll call them while...

    Small damage repair ballpark estimate

Very hard to say on how much work they’ve got on, at this time of year I’d imagine there’s a fair bit of work with the ice etc but who knows. Yes just the one quote so far, she’s getting another tomorrow as I asked (which tbf is good of her). I’m just glad I now know that the figures are there...

    Small damage repair ballpark estimate

Have to agree, I think it’d polish out but how can you tell someone else that when it’s their car! I’d much rather not have any paint on there unless it’s really necessary. Problem is, she’s getting quotes from accident repair centres. They see a girl come in with a mini saying someone else is...

Is this something that could be smart repaired?

    Small damage repair ballpark estimate

I scraped someone’s bumper (first time ever!) & I’d rather settle it privately than go through insurance as the damage is minor. Just a paint scuff on an R56 cooper front bumper. I can’t see how to upload a photo on here anymore?! She’s quoted me £430 which I found a little excessive given...

BT fibre installation - anyway of getting some useful information?

BT is the one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. They really are dreadful. I'd avoid, like the bad aids.

Audis. They look pretty, but I'd have more fun is a Dacia.

Photo help with a bridge camera

Bridge cameras have come a long way, I completely dismissed my mum getting one as I've always been into DSLRs but I've been nothing but impressed. The same goes for my new compact, cannon G7x 2. I don't know anything about the OPs camera, but my advise would be to have a look at photography...

Nice! I've been thinking about one of these for a little while. What's the build quality like?

    Audi RS3

Disappointed in you Dave! They're lovely cars for the daily commute, just lacking any real character. You'll be back in an M3 before you know it.

    Terry's E92 330i

It's such a shame these get so overlooked for the 335i as they're great all rounders & so much more reliable. Nice car pal

A few (amazing) pictures of the old steed. UR Clio 200.

Looks awesome, proper little old school hot hatch. Best colour too.

Too late to edit, but I meant E30 M3!

    E92 BMW M3 - A slight upgrade.

E92 M3s are generally very reliable other than the actuators which all seem to go, and the most worrying rod bearing issue. Check post 47- his brother had a new engine fitted. Not a risk I'd roll the dice on. On a lighter note, it's a bloody good warranty and they do allow modifications. They...

    E92 BMW M3 - A slight upgrade.

It's an excellent warranty, but it is classic M tax. You can get a warranty on a 335i (which are far less reliable than the M3, ask CJ) for £50pm.

    E92 BMW M3 - A slight upgrade.

https://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/Login/Index On the OPs car, £141PM comprehensive without breakdown cover. £100 excess. £356PM on 65k miles!

    E92 BMW M3 - A slight upgrade.

Dude I did exactly the same thing with an E46 M3 7 years ago while I was saving for some bricks! You won't lose much money on that, I'm totally jealous. But I own property, so do one mummys boy! Haha. I can't help but look at E92 Ms myself, but the cost of ownership puts me off a little; the...

    BMW M5s replacement.....

I understand your reasoning but I wouldn't go for an R26R. Personally, I'd be looking at mini JCW GP2s. All the pros of the megane but with better build quality and in my opinion it's just a better car.

    Mini R56 JCW

Is the later N18 engine more reliable? I like the thought of these, maybe even a GP2 but the lack of cruise control makes me sad, but the reliability is a concern!

    Matt's E46 M3

mmmm. Still love e46s. Only thing I'd change is the depo smoked indicators, just looks a bit bad man ting, get some clears on and it'll look fresh.
