I'm afraid i don't have any DB readings for the exhaust, would be nice to find out what the DB readings are.
yeah that's what I've always thought if its stupidly loud. I wouldn't say this system is that loud to be honest, I'm down in Hastings East Sussex.
Hi all has anyone had any issues when it comes to MOT time with their K-tec exhaust systems on their 172's ?
long story short mines failed because its "too loud" says the tester, so i took the vehicle to another mot station and same again " too loud". on the failure sheet it says,

Cheers guys, yeah the front dose sit rather high and I noticed it's got possibly a normal 172 spring or a standard Clio springs, but looking forward to having some new cup shocks and some cooksport springs fitted should transform for handing as it's shocking at the moment!

After selling my Monaco blue 172 back to its old owner, I’ve been on a look out for a racing blue 182 but then after waiting for a lift home one night after work I had a quick look on gumtree and found a standard 172 cup. After a quick phone call to the seller I was on my way to Cambridge to...

Just finished reading this thread been an awesome read and you're local aswell :), hope you manage to get the power steering issue sorted and hopefully it turns out to be something silly and not serious.
