So had a guy check my car over he took drivers side wheel off and apparently the pulley is worn. He said it's for waterpump, power steering etc. Can someone confirm? He said it has 3000 miles left. If it brakes while driving does it take the cambelt with it?

Finally got round to sorting the old engine out. What tool do you need to get this dephaser pulley off? Hoping I don't need to buy the tools as I know I'll need one to get water pump off.

How much do Renault charge for 182 cam change? Website says from £200. How much are parts etc? Can you buy parts and give them then to make cheaper (probably not). Just had my belts change but wishing I went to Renault as you get 1 year guarantee so I presume if anything breaks with it they fix...

Had a new engine fitted. Now they is steam from the back of the engine. I think it's coming from the exhaust man but my friend said it could be that the engine was on it's side and it's burning oil. I can smell burning. This is just on idle, I am yet to even test drive the car as the gearbox oil...

I am currently putting a 172 engine in my 182. It has 82k on the clock (new engine) all the timing is already connected etc and i don't really want the hassle of changing it to be honest. My question basically is can a timing belt last 82k as if not that would mean it's been replaced fairly...
