As per title really, hoping someone knows the rear bolt size (hole size) where the rear shocks mount to the beam. Car is a 172 Cup 2003.
Will save me having to get one out tonight.
Cheers.
Mark,
What are the handling characteristics? Does this give a slightly loose rear end, or planted? Does it dial out understeer or is it more prone to that than oversteer.
Thanks
Sorry to go over old ground. I have spent about 2 weeks reading and reading on here, and the difference of opinion is vast.
I'm in the process of turning a rather tired 172 Cup into a track tool and want to change the current standard suspension for a set of coilovers.
The car will be 70%...
Not sure i have a lot of choice.
You say that, but the set that I took off were put on by the previous owner with no spacer and were still fine after 12000 miles and 14 months of driving. I only changed them because the brake discs were grotty, bearings were good.
New ones went on easily as I sanded the stub axle a little to makes sure they slid on easily.
I wondered if they become hard to get off once the hub nut has ben torqued up and the car actually used?
Hello.
Had to fit new rear brake discs and bearings on Sunday without the spacers. Whoever did them last time didn't fit any. I didn't realise they weren't present until I'd beaten the old discs/bearings off the stub axle, and the car was then stuck.
The car has done about 35 miles since then...
