i had the same problem, i add a little extra magifoam and don't wet the car first. Seems to work a lot better.

Thanks guys, Just wonder wheels and a bit of elbow grease, followed by auto glym wheel sealant.

Corrected the tracking, added a little toe out and put some new 15" wheels on.

Managed to find myself some bargain 15" wheels on ebay. White multi spokes with a nice blue line round the rim that will go nicely with the cup colour. Not the best tyres in the world (bridgestone turzana's) but about 5mm of tread left all round. Gave them a weigh and they're about 3kg lighter...

Bought the above 172 cup 6 months ago and was wondering if anyone knew who owned it previously as would like to know what mods it has in the engine as it ran 172.5bhp on a dyno the other week.

I'm after some 172 cup front shocks and top mounts. Where is best to get them from? The trader Wests renault isn't replying on here???

So if just a white matk on rears they're not cup springs?

Autobrite berry blast endurance trim and tyre gel is fantastic! Lasts a life time and cheap too.

I know i'm not too keen on it either, it'll do for now though.

Bought my clio 172 cup a couple weeks ago and been tryin yo sort a few bits for it mechanically. Been dying to detail it and finally got the time to do it yesterday. 4 hours hard graft but soooo worth it. me and my mate have bought it as a road/track day car so not gunna do much to it...

Wax beading looking nice after the four hour detail today. So much effort but so worth it.

My 172 cup seems quite skittish on the back. Say cruising at 60 round a very slight corner, hit little bit of uneven ground n the back end starts gettin happy. My tyres are horrendous at the moment as im about to change em but could it be anything else or does the slightly stiffer suspension...

I thought the ad08's were semi slicks and theyre about £120 a corner. Was thinking around the conti sport 3's for starters.

Hi all, i'm after some tyres for travk days and dont want to go mad to begin with. Not bothering with semi-slicks just yet. So which tyre is best do you find? T1r's, pilot sport 3's??? These will be for the 16 inch cup wheels. Thanks.

So my offside front wheel camber is out, the top of the wheel is clearly closer to the car than the bottom. This means something is bent rather than needing the wheel alignment sorting? That wheel does have a slight ding on the inside of the rim. Probably been down a big pot hole.

Is the camber adjustable on the 172 cup?

So if they've been replaced at sometime with the correct springs they will still be white/yellow? You cant get the right size cup springs that aren't white/yellow?

Is there a way to tell if the springs on a 172 cup are the correct ones?

I'm in atherstone near tamworth/coventry. The 182 gets it's extra 10 ps from a different back box on the exhaust and a chamfered inlet manifold. The lip has been removed so it matches the head and so the air flows better. Nice mod to gain a few horses with a map.

What can i use to bring up the inlet manifold? That grubby metal look at the minute.

Where can i get a matched 182 inlet manifold for my 172 cup? Or does it cost much to have mine delipped. Any decent places in midlands?
