X186... do you work at Halfords on Kirkstall Road? Spotted you there if so. Car looks greta. Also, the photos at the big Substation behind the gym on Kirkstall Road? Cars look really good.
Hey all. long time since I last had a Renault, but to cut a long story short I sold my Clio, got a 306 HDi, that died and I did a deal that got me a 206 XS for not many pennies. The XS is fine but I have fucked the bodywork (stupid accident in a car park - my first in my four years of driving...
Ross, I thought you'd disappeared. You haven't been on MSN in time! Car looks really good -where di you take those last two pics? Was it just off Sandyhurst Lane on the Westwell road?
It's 72k or five years, so it should have been done on the age count. I wouldn't really risk more than 50-60k either. I got a very good deal and got mine done for £180 at the local Dealer when I had my Dynamique so I'm not sure of a 'normal' price.
If it's any consolation, you aren't the only one who's had a rubbish time trying to privately buy the car they want. I almost bought a clocked car and wasted my time travelling to the edge of Scotland in another incident because a forum member (not this forum) offered me an ideal car which...
My Dynamique of the same age and colour but with a manual 'box got me just over £3000 yesterday. Mine was unmodified and in superb nick on 58000 miles.
Fair enough, I just thought that when I looked up the prices on Ebay when I did it, you could not get one without the other. They are really useful actually, the heated ones - I was surprised how much difference they make in the winter.
Lol yeah, well I taped mine to the body work and then left it firmly on the drive until it went to the garage. Fortunately because it was a small job they did it within two days of me having done the damage...unfortunately my best friend was in the car when I did it. I bought his silence with a...
Yeah it's gutting, especially when you do it in a stupid way as I did (reversing down our driveway, very slowly in the dark) - it feels like you've spent over a hundred pounds and got nothing from it.
Also, are you sure it's not heated then? I'm sure if it's electric it's heated. They don't...
Yeah, it was a 120 for mine fitted. That was with the painted backplate transferred from the old one to the new one though, so if it needs spraying, expect to pay more. Mine is heated and electric and although the motor wasn't damaged, apparently it all comes as one unit.
Bad luck dude. Hope you get it sorted. We both know there are some lovely people that side of town, but console yourself we had it done to the car and van one Christmas Eve while we were all tucked up in bed. Every car on the street had "Merry Xmas" pasted down the side in red...the irony. That...
