Re: Rough idle/running and running rich and high emmissions, garage cannot diagnose H I just did the fault find thing and got errors "t" and "h" I reset them and started the car again, and those faults do not come up now !!! Its still running real bad....im lost for ideas!

I have taken my car to MOT today which was already running like a dog - does not idle and keeps cutting out without revving. Garage failed MOT due to running rich/high emmissions. They plugged into their diagnosis and could not locate the issue. I have changed the spark plugs and coil...

How do i work out which one it is missing on?

Well I have now changed the coil pack and the plugs.....still no luck. Thinking of changing the leads......cant think of anything else?!

I had to have my car towed home by RAC the other day and fault code was as above. He said it was unlikely that the sensor was causing the problem and it must be the coil pack. I therefore purchased a coil pack and car still wont idle/misfires. Will car automatically get out of "get home" mode...

Had the Janspeed fitted. It looks good and sounds only a little bit louder than standard. Just what i was after. Thanks!!!

Couple of questions. Would car cut out if the Positive terminal on battery became disconnected after starting? If positive terminal did become disconnected would this damage/effect electrics in any way? My mate has just fitted a new battery and lost one of the connecting bolts and cant find...

Thanks All. Looks like the Janspeed is the one for me (just the sports version). This will just fit direct onto my Cat i assume?

My exhaust centre section has gone just after the CAT and the backbox is on its way out and so I need a new exhuast from CAT back. The standard is too expensive so what are the options? I want one that maybe is a little more beefy than standard, but nothing over the top. Any help much...
