kit car sounds nice but i need 2 be able 2 use it 2 nip down the shops etc and kit cars ain't much use in that respect, and a clio cup car would be nice but a sequential is a #*$! on the road and always need rebuilding and i ain't got that amount of time or expertise
the ph1 is starting to...
cheers dave, sounds like sound advice, i think a cup is defo the choice for me, although in time may need a little engine tuning but i think that would come after handling and braking
so... has anyone got a cup for sale? lol
they do sell all that stuff but ur prob best ringing them coz the website looks a little bit iffy. i usually just go into the shop, but if u ring them they should sort you out.
insurance isn't really a problem, i hate ABS, and all the other computer crap they put in cars these days. i think the cup sounds better though coz of the lack of driver aids and air con
a nice set of slicks is already a definate, just forgot 2 put it on my original list
and brakes is obvious on a track car, but i wanted some engine advice as i don't really know much about them
does air con add much weight and is it a ball ache 2 remove if it does? never had air con before and don't really see the need, as long as ur window goes down :D and the seats would get pulled out in exchange 4 some buckets
and if it's cheaper for a cup that also sounds good,
yeah, but i quite like what S22 said about the ff havin shorter gears and when i strip it out it'll be lighter than the cup, and i think the cups r more expensive.
mini is a bit camp, lol (no offense to anyone that owns one, that's just my personal opinion)
i'm deffinately gettin persuaded 2 get 1. do u guys go on many track days? (sorry 4 goin a bit off topic)
i'm not fussed about creature comforts, road worthy 2 me means i don't have 2 take it 2 the track on a trailer. as long as it's not massively slower than my CTR but i primarily i want something smaller lighter to throw around a track. the civic handles but it doesn't quite feel like a go kart...
not too sure on the differences, apart from it being lighter but i'm planning on lightening everything anyway. carbon door cards etc so is the extra money 4 the cup worth it?
