Nick: what yearmodel is your car? In my -91 there is a throttle position sensor. I doubt it has changed. Just go look at the butterfly housing and you can see it at the radiator side of the throttle axle. I had just the same symptoms, jerking at part throttle, mostly at steady speeds.

You should check your engine faultcodes. My 16v did just the same thing, and faultcodes showed throttle potentiometer to be blamed for. Changing it helped, no more jerking. But it wasnt a cheap one, so you should first check the codes.

I dont know if it is larger, but it is different anyway. If willy TB is larger, could 1.8 TB restrict airflow so much it would be no use for willys bigger intake port and better flowing of the head? Or is there flow reserve in 1.8 TB?
Willy has higher lift camshafts too, both inlet and exhaust, but I dont know the duration angles. So I just wondered if that will affect the same as with 1.8 head and performance cams, which means using higher revs. Its hard to say because I dont know the duration. Does anyone know the duration...
Does anyone have Williams head on 1.8 16v? If someone has, could you tell me how did it change the engine? Did low torque reduce and do you have to rev it higher to get it going? And finally, how did you increase fuelling, by increasing fuel pressure or by re-programming the chip?
Thanks for...
Ok, I thought that if you had some files about it in computer which would be easy to send, but if it is on paper or in your head its bit more difficult
I would like to know about its working principle and about that diagnostics socket. Fastchip (www.fastchip.nl) sell this info display which...
