I've got that one too, and also the passenger side air vent below the windscreen. For the first two years of ownership of my 182 everything was ok, and then the rattles started to develop. No point trying to fix them really as it's a never ending battle. KnightAzul

No idea where my head was this morning when I wrote this! Yep, it should have been a rattlesnake and not a Boa constrictor. A quick search on google confirmed that the latter indeed does not rattle. KnightAzul

Anyone know how to stop the passenger side air vent on the dash from rattling, preferably without removing the dash. Mine is sounding like a boa constrictor! KnightAzul

Wot he said! Why would you trade in if you car feels faster... For me the 197 looks horrible compared to a 182. The only reason why I would change is if the build quality is infinitely better, which I seriously doubt. KnightAzul

I bought some industrial double sided tape which hopefully will do the trick. It's just that the dashboard plastic seems to be anti-stick for some reason. I've never had superglue fail on me before! KnightAzul

Actually my GPS antenna is magnetic too. Knowing my luck the pad and antenna will probably oppose each other! If I could find a small sticky black metal patch (non-magnetic) that would be perfect. Failing that, my idea is to buy some double sided thick sticky tape and then apply some special...

My 182 is not perfect and the common faults are well known. It's close to being my BEST car, but... my Sierra Sapphire 2.0L GLS takes the prize. Bullet proof and quick and I had it when I was 23 years old! KnightAzul

I had that too on my 182 and it was the hole under the wing mirror which appears to be a common problem. Easy to test, just tape over the hole with masking tape or whatever and then go back out on your private runway and see if it happens again. KnightAzul

Is it a difficult job to remove the underside of the roof to get at the antenna and its cabling? I suspect that it might be a major job full of possible disasters... KnightAzul

It will rattle and make alot of noise as well as adding unnecessary weight. Don't do it! KnightAzul

I have the standard 182 spoiler. I was probably one of the only ones who didn't go for the "extra" large spoiler! Replacing the standard FM antenna with a dual GPS/FM roof antenna seems to be a logical move, but I can hardly find any after market ones... aside from an obscure page which I can't...

Anyone out there who got an original SAT-NAV system, where is the antenna installed? I am thinking to replace my original FM antenna on the roof of my 182 with an multi FM/GPS antenna and was wondering whether the original Renault SAT-NAV antenna would be just the ticket? Thx, KnightAzul
