well ya know, attatched it to the fork on the bellhousing where its supposed to go lol, so i suppose with the box off then its not fitted to the car

k cool, phonebook out in the morning, i dnt want to spend loads, its already cost me over 100notes for the clutch n some other bits and a few sensors, ideally looking at no more then 200 if i can then i can justify y my knuckles are ruined lol

k, well the box is off the car as i have just fitted a new clutch and release bearing, so i assume it would be cheaper now

how much would the rebuild cost

Whats the gearbox used on the Ph1 172 sport clios, and what other vehicles used it, mines got a nasty whine, also how much is a recon on one of these :)

yeah its for the bellhousing to the gearbox, can i use liquid gasket on it ?

my 172 has just started doing exactly the same thing in the last couple of weeks, tried redex and that helped for a couple of days but its started up again,some days starts with no problem, others i can run the car fine, stop at shop or summat and it wont start again, takes 2-3 attemps before it...

Does anyone know if on the 172 gearbox to bellhousing gasket, can you use a paper gasket or gasket liquid or does it have to be the proper one?

Well end of day one and all i can say is Why the Foook did renault attatch the Steering Rack to the subframe (some yts design i think) i have never had so many bolts that are that fooookin tight the impact wrench could not take them off, so after 4 hours of trying to remove a few bolts the...

has anyone done this on their own, going to have a go at weekend on my 172 Ph1, can it be done with the engine in or does it have to come out all together??? any help would be much appreciated :D
