Full-Fat 182 or 182 Cup ???

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Nope. I like my creature comforts, and if you're that anal about 20kg, get down the gym fatty.

  LY V6 with Recaros
No, I don't think so, just get the cup packs on the 182. If it was between the 172 ff and 172 cup then I'd say it's just down to what you want from the car, but I don't think there is enough difference in the 182 cup to make it worth losing all the creature comforts.

Yea if it was say 50kg difference minimum then it would be worth it. I have saved 20kg from my full fat by replacing the leather / suede armchairs, for some lighterweight reclining buckets that are miles comfier.

And I still have CC, Xenons etc.

It doesnt really matter tbh.If you like toys then go for it.
However the 182 cup has posted the quickest time for a clio around bedford autodrome and it even beat the trophy...

In the real world any weight difference will mean very little when different driver weights and full loads come into play. I would go for full fat and enjoy the toys ... Have you seen the Cup interior ? ;)

The 172 cup looses to many good things to interest me.

No leather/alcantara interior
One peice 'bench' style rear seat
No rear headrests
No CC/Aircon (there were some but very rare)
Xenons
A middle rear seat belt
Thicker heat reflective glass (lol)
ABS braking

etc.

  Skoda Octavia TDi vRS
A Cup like mine (for sale here) - faster and cheaper than a FF. If you want auto-wipers that don't work in a few years, buy a full fat ;)

182 Cup Special......

I don't eat for 24 hours before l drive,have a hair cut,run it on vapour and drive naked ;)

That interesting. Shame we're not discussing 172 Cup's ;)

I'd go 182 FF with Cup packs over a 182 Cup defo. As said; there is not enough of a weight difference to justify not having the toys and they look virtually identical.

I'd really miss the xenons if I had a cup...could probably manage without the aircon as I never use it much anyway.

As said before, for everyday and "spirited" driving you aren't going to notice the difference. Never saw the point of the 182 cup and wouldn't give up the spec of a FF for one. As Evo put it "Sunday market interior".

  RB 182 with CUP packs
I bought a FF 182 with CUP packs.

After sitting in a friends RB CUP the interior & lack of mod cons put me off tbh.

I think with the FF 182 with CUP packs, you get the best of both worlds.

As people have said the additional weight is not a concern & would be very very surprised if someone could notice the difference driving both cars back to back.

Just my 2p worth

sorry to hijack but i'm after a 172 and i'd like to see (if it exists) some chart or something that compares the 172 and the 172 Cup. I'd like the cup but from what i can gather its missing certain things i want e.g. Aircon and Xenon lights.
I just want to be able to see what the standard specs are for the FF and the Cup versions :D

If you want Aircon and Xenon's buy a full fat - simple ;)

172 Cup is 50kg lighter IRRC

Stuff it doe'snt have (that the ph2 FF 172 does have):

Xenons
AC or climate
Leather and alcantera (sp) seats
Rear headrests
Split folding rear seat (I think FF has that)
Gash 5 spoke wheels
Heat reflecting windscreen
Cruise control
Traction control (not all FF have this IRRC)
ESP (same as above I think)
ABS
An engine cover
A spare wheel
Headlight squirter things

Think thats it, but I might have missed a few things

172 cup is 80kg lighter, thats like taking the driver out. its usually got better matched engines too making 172 cups the fastest RS Clios apparently

thanks for the info ppl :D
I think i would prefer the FF over the Cup although the Cup's seem to be a little easier to come by for some reason :)
